SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst is responsible for daily, weekly and monthly internal KPI reporting for business units. Position completes the annual budget, monthly forecast and weekly internal reporting processes.Current or Previous Transportation/Fleet Trucking Industry experienced desired. This individual will provide research and analytical support to the business on a wide variety of projects. Represents the Company and it‘s affiliates in a positive image working with our employees, customers, and community in a safe and ethical manner to achieve financial success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Performs daily, weekly and monthly internal KPI and financial reporting for the assigned Business Unit(s) – (BU) based upon standardized processes, templates and systems.
  • The reporting includes fluctuation / trend analysis comparisons through use of graphical and other creative presentation methods/ tools to assist in the interpretation and complete understanding of the results.
  • Positively influences future financial performance by initiating corrective actions utilizing historical performance indicators, measure and report on the progress of corrective action plans.
  • Performs a variety of financial analyses, including but not limited to, ROI, cost save/avoidance, revenue and margin analysis, and ad-hoc projects on a proactive and requested basis
  • Executes the Annual and Rolling Forecast process for the assigned BU through the use of a standardized process and model.
  • Performs analysis – both operational and financial – to support Executive Management decision-making.
  • Assists in the design, implementation and compliance monitoring of various internal controls.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS Degree in Accounting / Finance with a minimum of 2-3 years of financial analysis experience preferred.
  • Transportation experience highly desired.
  • TMW Transportation Software experience a plus including Results Now.
  • Understanding of GAAP, including month end close, P&L, internal controls and the ability to develop financial and operational models.
  • Position requires effective communication and organizational skills, critical thinker with strong analytical ability and research analysis skills.
  • Experience building and managing Financial Models for business forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Comfortable with analyzing large volumes of complex data and presenting findings to senior management.
  • Must have a strong entrepreneurial business sense with outstanding communication and accounting skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage to deadlines.

This position is based in Samaria, Michigan.
